Dimasa saat ini tidak banyak yang mampu dan mau mengungkap masalalu yang kelam apalagi disaat berkepentingan dengan persoalan elektabilitas politik namun Kepada Wartawan sentralnews.com Subadiono menjelaskan, “Saya akui memang saya pernah divonis 4 tahun penjara oleh pengadilan Negeri Lampung Utara pada tahun 1972, saya juga sudah tuangkan di surat pernyataan saya beberapa waktu yang lalu, hal tersebut saya lakukan agar supaya keterbukaan informasi publik bahwa dulunya saya pernah tersangkut pidana, namun perlu juga saya tegaskan bahwa hal tersebut tidak saya lakukan secara berulang-ulang dan dapat saya pastikan mulai dari permasalahan itu sampai dengan saat ini saya tidak pernah lagi tersangkut pidana”, tutup Subadiono.
Adanya keterbukaan publik ini tentang masa lalu salah satu Balon Kakam Suka Jadi ini bertujuan memperjelas kepada masyarakat bahwa sanya hal itu terjadi hanya sekali dan tidak berulang-ulang, dan sekaligus sebagai pelengkap persyaratan pemberkasan sebagai Calon Kepala Kampung.
Dan dipertegas dalam ketentuan persyaratan mencalonkan diri sebagai calon kepala kampung pada (pasl 31 ayat 1 hurup i) tidak pernah dijatuhi pidana penjara berdasarkan putusan pengadilan yang telah mempunyai kekuatan hukum tetap karena melakukan tindak pidana yang diancam dengan pidana penjara paling singkat 5 (lima) tahun atau lebih, kecuali 5 (lima) tahun setelah selesai menjalani pidana penjara dan mengumumkan secara jujur dan terbuka kepada publik bahwa yang bersangkutan pernah dipidana serta bukan sebagai pelaku kejahatan berulang-ulang.
